Jessica + Korey Engagement Photos
by Julie Kemerling on Mar.30, 2011, under Weddings & Engagements
I photographed Jessica and Korey in downtown Denver a couple of weeks ago and if you are from Denver, you know its been like a wind tunnel quite a bit lately, but their session turned out so great despite the windy conditions. These two are easy going and great together as a couple and I’m so excited and honored to photograph their wedding at the Red Rocks Trading Post in Morrison, Colorado this October. The views there are spectacular. Below are a few of their images from our day together.
Harper’s First Haircut
by Julie Kemerling on Mar.14, 2011, under Babies & Children
Who would think that one new Grandma “me” would make such a big deal out of her granddaughter’s first haircut? It was so darn cute I could hardly stand it. We went to Jack and Jill Children’s Salon, where they specialize in children’s haircuts. I can’t get over how cute it is. Here are a few of the images.

by Julie Kemerling on Feb.02, 2011, under Weddings & Engagements
Susan and David are another one of my wonderful wedding clients this year. They are also personal friends and I couldn’t be having more fun with them. We met downtown a couple of weeks ago for this photography session and it was so cold and windy that we “had” to take a break and stop into a pub for a Bailey’s and coffee. Or was it Irish creme? lol. Good times. I photographed mutual friends of ours (Caryn & John’s) wedding a few years ago and now Susan and David are getting married in September at The Inn at Palmer Divide. This venue is a scenic, Colorado location south of Denver and perfect for a fall wedding! Can’t wait.

by Julie Kemerling on Jan.12, 2011, under Weddings & Engagements
I photographed a particularly special wedding on December 28th in Castle Rock in the beautiful new home of a family friend. It was just wonderful weather, especially for December in Colorado. Dillon, the groom, is in the Navy so he wore his attire to add to the uniqueness of the day. Also, little Kaden followed in a sailor suit all his own! Too adorable I tell you. Here are some of the images from the day for you to enjoy. I love the classic and very vintage appeal of some of their images. The flowers were designed by Parker Blooms.
Including Your Pets in the Family Portrait
by Julie Kemerling on Dec.16, 2010, under Family Portraits
Here are some black and white images from a family portrait session I did recently in Parker, Colorado. Not one, not two, but three dogs makes for a really funny session. We had a great time and I think I like the outtake shots the most sometimes. Especially when pets are involved.
Family Portraits are a Great Gift – Receive $50.00 for booking!
by Julie Kemerling on Dec.02, 2010, under Family Portraits
I really enjoy shooting holiday photos for families this time of year. Luckily, we’ve been pretty fortunate with the weather and I’ve been able to do quite a bit of outdoor shooting still! We have a great holiday special – receive a $50.00 gift card when you book a session through Dec. 31st, 2010. Contact (click here) my studio if you are interested! You can use the gift card in 2011 as long as your session is booked in 2010! This is also a great gift idea for grandparents or for someone who has everything!
Below is a recent session with mom and dad and the cutest little blonde sisters. Its always interesting to see which one is going to behave and which one isn’t when there are two kids very close in age. Wait a minute, they are usually both perfect angels because they love to sit still… too funny.
Friday Night Fights Photography – Knocking Out Pediatric Cancer
by Julie Kemerling on Nov.18, 2010, under Community
I once again had the privilege to help The Morgan Adams Foundation (MAF) with their newest children’s cancer fundraiser “Friday Night Fights.” Ray and I photographed the event on Nov. 12th at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado. Poor Boys Pro Boxing and Ferrari of Denver Bentley Denver were sponsors as well as UBS Financial Services (Bryan Cannon), Bessemer Trust (Eric Holt), Intrinsic Valuation (Alex Hodgkin), Integris Partners (Patrick Seese), Adrenalin, Chubb, HotPressWeb, Jerri’s Tobacco Shop & Fine Wines, KRG Capital Partners, JD Ford & Company, Planit Planners Inc, and Site7Solutions.
The Morgan Adams Friday Night Fights seeks to honor the love and lives of all children who are suffering and have suffered from cancer; to educate and expand the general understanding of childhood cancers; and by blending our memories and our hopes with our determination, the Morgan Adams Friday Night Fights will raise money to further a common goal: a cure.
Vintage Style Wedding Showcased at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO
by Julie Kemerling on Nov.13, 2010, under Weddings & Engagements
I am naturally drawn to photographing in black and white and and in this high tech world today, I find it so amazing when photos turn out looking like they could have been taken 50 years ago and they were actually taken a couple of weeks ago. Here is a wedding I loved being part of that took place on 10-10-10 at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. The historic qualities of this hotel are so much fun to photograph and this couple, Armarna and Steve, truly love the authentic vintage style as much as I do. Here are a few images to share from their special day. Enjoy!
