Here are some of Britany and Nate’s images from their wedding at Cielo Pines in Castle Rock a couple of weeks ago. It snowed heavily that day but the sun came out just in time for some photos! These two got engaged while snowshoeing so of course I had to bring some snowshoes for them to make them laugh. It was a perfect prop for them with all the snow. Flowers were beautiful by Parker Blooms and DJ On Demand provided the music and dancing entertainment. The food was catered by Exquisite Taste. Delicious.

Below are some of my vintage-inspired images from last week’s family portrait session. I photographed Kristen and Dillon’s wedding last year in December and they have since moved to Virginia but were back for the holidays! The bride’s family and I have become great friends, so we kid around a lot which made for such a relaxed and fun photo session in spite of the frigid temperatures that day! Here in Colorado we had a white Christmas this year as you can see in these photos, but today its in the 50′s again. Typical Colorado weather of course and thank goodness. I love the beauty of the snow and skiing, but I’m not a huge fan of cold weather, even after all these years.

Here are just a few of all the great glamour clothes and attendees as they entered The Wedding Connectors Hollywood Glam Holiday party on December 12th at The Cable Center in Denver, Colorado. Proceeds from the event went to the B.R.I. Foundation to help with teen suicide prevention. What a spectacular night it was. Thanks to T’Da Design for the transformation and beautiful party atmosphere, complete with peacock feathers and huge HOLLYWOOD lettering, and lounge furniture. The Red Door Photo Booth provided entertain for guests and The Food Guy provided delicious food, desserts and hot drinks. There were too many sponsors to mention them all here but thanks to everyone including The Perfect Wedding Guide and Linda Murri Photography was the official event photographer. Also, special thanks to Hair & Makeup in Motion for providing special looks for The Wedding Connectors. The photos below are from some of my “paparazzi” photographers that I brought in to help as attendees entered the event via the red carpet. It was such fun.

Here’s a few images from my shoot with Sarah and Mac and their family last weekend. I’ve done their family photos since their kids were born and I can’t believe how much they are growing. So fun to see them every year! This year Grandma came along and we both had a laugh too.

Here are some of the images from Lindsey and Erik’s intimate and authentic Hawaiian wedding in Kauai near Princeville on the beach last month. The ceremony included a traditional sea salt ceremony, which was a completely new one for me, and it also included part of the vows in Hawaiian.  They didn’t blow conch shells, but if they did, I would have been there to photograph it. Hey that’s funny right?  Well we laughed about it when Erik and Lindsey viewed their collection of polished images.  Always gotta have fun at the wedding and just take in the magic - each one is so unique and each couple’s story is one of a kind.

TWC Partners with PWG at Old Hollywood Glam Extravaganza to Raise Funds for the B.R.I. Foundation

 DENVER, December 12, 2011—The Cable Center on the University of Denver campus is the location for a very special holiday fundraiser for the B.R.I. Foundation to raise money for the prevention of teen suicide. The holiday party, for professionals in the wedding industry, is being sponsored by The Wedding Connectors (TWC) and Perfect Wedding Guide (PWG). The theme is Old Hollywood Glamour, so the décor and costumes will be sure to showcase fun, glitz and bling. To set a stage fit for Hollywood, The Cable Center will undergo a transformation by T’DA Design and a retro photo booth by Red Door Photo Booth will give attendees a chance to record the evening after they make their way into the party past the paparazzi photographers via the red carpet entrance.

The B.R.I. Foundation (Breathing Reassurance into Teens) was established in 2010 after the TWC president Babette Canacari’s 12 year old daughter, Brianna, tragically lost her life. “We want you to have tomorrow with your child, so let’s put an end to this silent epidemic,” says Canacari. Money raised for the foundation will go toward education and awareness about teen suicide trends such as “The Choking Game” and other risky behaviors.

Canacari has spoken about her personal story at several schools, including Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was also featured on TLC’s TV show LA Ink in 2011 and received a tattoo in memory of Brianna, by the show’s star Kat Von D. These are a few images from the Concours d’Elegance fundraising event, held at The Centennial Airport in the Denver Tech Center in Colorado, at The TAC Air Hangar on August 27, 2011. I always enjoy photographing these gorgeous collectible cars, airplanes and motorcycles, but the children we are trying to help are the real prizes. These are some of the images from Katelyn’s high school senior session I did a couple of weeks ago. She goes to Chatfield High School and she is so full of energy and easy to photograph. Ok, all I can say is cute. As you can see below, we had several toys and props available to keep this little guy interested in taking photos. Babies, toddlers and kids in general are usually interested in taking photos for about five minutes and then they’re done. If you have small children, I bet you know what I’m talking about. So I’ve been working on perfecting my improvisational photography skills!
