Rebecca & Chad’s Wedding Reception at Mile High Station
by on Sep.10, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
I photographed Rebecca and Chad’s wedding up in Vail, Colorado on August 8th. It was an intimate, private ceremony that was simply beautiful and we hiked out to a special location near Vail pass for the vows. It was special for my husband and I also because it was our wedding anniversary. They then had a reception at Mile High Station in Denver on August 22nd. We took some photos downtown first (below) and then we headed over to the reception. The catering and decor was provided by Catering By Design and it was flawless. These are a few of the images from the day. Aren’t weddings the best? Enjoy!

Have you ever in your life gone to a wedding and have felt bad for the groom because he picked the biggest boneheaded friend to be the best man. It happened to me, we travelled a very chic wedding reception and the Best Man’s speech was so poor that it was unbelievable that this dude was the groom’s best friend. After they uncovered the best man, he got up to the mic and gave this speech: “This couple, Bill and Monica are great and I hope their life is filled with fulfillment and all those things that make a marriage great.” This is what you will get when you don’t plan a speech. When I got married couple of years later I didn’t want my best man to be the subject of gossip for years into the future so I sent him this kit http://www.bestmanspeech.largestnetwork.com on how to write a best man speech. It relieved the tension and his speech was elegant, relaxed and poignant.
