Digital Wedding Forum Convention Held in Nashville, TN
by on Jan.23, 2010, under Weddings & Engagements
I recently attended the Digital Wedding Forum (DWF) convention in Nashville, TN. Some of speakers included Jerry Ghionis, Jim Garner, Kevin Kubota, Cliff Mautner, Amy Deputy, Chuck Arlund, Gene Higa, Melissa Tirado and more. I also attended the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Imaging USA tradeshow (also in Nashville). For us photographers, the tradeshows are like walking through a candy shop. The products and advancing technology in the photography industry never cease to amaze me each year. All of these photographers are such an inspiration and they are true leaders in the wedding photography industry. Here’s a few quick images I took during a one-hour workshop with David Beckstead in Music City USA.

Harper’s First Baby Christmas Photos
by on Jan.03, 2010, under Babies & Children
Here’s a couple of the (oh let’s say just a few) Christmas photos I took of my little sweetheart Harper this holiday season. She had a different holiday dress for each day I believe. What a doll – we have so much fun and I can’t believe she’s eight months old now. Time is going so fast. Happy 2010 everyone!

Littleton Couple Celebrate Three Years of Marriage
by on Oct.25, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
Last week I photographed Asha and Jason at a beautiful location in Littleton with lots of fall colors. Married now for three years, they wanted to take some casual, fun photos of just the two of them. What a great idea. I shot the session similar to an engagement session and the images are just priceless. We were cracking up and that makes it all the more fun! A portrait session is a great way to get a fresh new look at the life you’ve built together. Sometimes I think the images let you see how wonderful your life is because they make you pause and reflect. If you would like to take some casual lifestyle photos like this, contact me and we’ll discuss some ideas. Visit my website at www.afinephotographer.com or call the studio at 303-768-0381.

Jenny & Pete Married at Perry Park Country Club
by on Oct.02, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
Jenny and Pete were married on September 12th at Perry Park Country Club in Larkspur, Colorado. What a fun time we had photographing everything. Jenny and Pete are such a nice couple (and so in love) and I was honored to be chosen to photograph their special day. It rained so we had to move the ceremony inside, but it was still just beautiful. Wendie Bass from Let’s Plan It had everything running smoothly, she’s so talented. The music was provided by DJ on Demand and I think they managed to get most everyone on the dance floor. Oh, and the flowers, wow. Give all credit to Maggie at Le Jardin Binet. She creates a work of art with her floral designs which always makes it fun for the photographer! They actually had a dessert bar along with a wedding cake and those delectibles were created by Billie Kading. Because of the rain on their wedding day, we had a chance to shoot some more images on a sunny day a couple of weeks after the wedding. Here are a few images from both days for you to enjoy.

Rebecca & Chad’s Wedding Reception at Mile High Station
by on Sep.10, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
I photographed Rebecca and Chad’s wedding up in Vail, Colorado on August 8th. It was an intimate, private ceremony that was simply beautiful and we hiked out to a special location near Vail pass for the vows. It was special for my husband and I also because it was our wedding anniversary. They then had a reception at Mile High Station in Denver on August 22nd. We took some photos downtown first (below) and then we headed over to the reception. The catering and decor was provided by Catering By Design and it was flawless. These are a few of the images from the day. Aren’t weddings the best? Enjoy!

by on Aug.21, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
Here are some of the images from Christie & David’s July 25th wedding at Terrace Gardens Ken Caryl. The flowers were so beautifully done by Courtney at Flowers Forever Design http://www.flowersforeverdesign.com and even though we had some rain throughout the day, we had a little time for some great photos outside. David is quite a hockey fan (and a great hockey player himself), so we brought hockey sticks and that was a real hoot for the photos.
Jenny & Pete’s Engagement Shoot at Daniel’s Park
by on Aug.07, 2009, under Weddings & Engagements
Here’s some of the images from the engagement session I photographed for Jenny and Pete. We shot at a couple of locations, but mostly at Daniel’s Park (right before a storm, like every afternoon this summer right)? Their wedding is September 12th and its going to be sunny all day, I just know it will be. We had lots of fun together and I can’t wait for the wedding day.
